Kastenwagen von Borja

Borja really explained a lot and the camper was fully equiped with everything that you need!

We rented Borja’s van for 6 nights for a trip to the Picos de Europa. Borja is a really lovely guy, he was very friendly and patient with us. He was also very attentive and responsive when we had further questions during the trip. 

Borja’s van is located very conveniently, just 15mins by Taxi from central Bilbao. It’s also just a few minuets from a large supermarket, so once you collect the van you can get stocked up for your trip (don’t use the main car park as you won’t fit under the hight restriction, there are a few spaces to the right when you arrive). 

Despite its age, the van is in good condition inside and out, it drives really well too. It’s also nice and easy to drive and manoeuvre as it’s not too long at 5.4meters, with a good turning circle. This was great on the campsites and the mountain roads. 

When we collected the van it was nice and clean and Borja did a great job of explaining everything. It has everything you need for your trip, camp table and chairs, towels, bedding and everything you need for cooking and dining, plus a few nice touches from Borja such as, a couple of cold beers in the fridge and some fruit and sweet treats. 

It was very hot in the Picos during our trip, the fridge worked really well and did a great job of keeping our food fresh and our beers cold. We also made good use of the awning which is really easy and quick to set up. 

One thing that surprised us was how comfortable the bed is. It’s made up using the cushions of the rear branch seating and is really very comfortable. The cushions make a supportive mattress and don’t move about. Despite the heat, the van stayed nice and cool with the vents open, particularly when parked in the shade. We slept really well. 

We had a really fantastic trip. Borja’s van van was perfect for our requirements. Highly recommended! We are now hooked an campervaning and hope to get our own van soon.
